Design Rational:
I created this collage using Photoshop. In the collage I place the lighting bolt in between the peace sign and the world/heart to show how there is a constant struggle between love and power preventing ultimate peace. When placing the words over the collage I redesigned them so they would fit with the collage. For example how the lighting bolt cuts through the word "power" and "overcomes" is crooked. The new design of the poem is also easier to read and follow considering the collage also draws the viewers attention.
I decided to only animate the lightning bolt because it gives the collage a dramatic effect. I felt that if I had animated anything else such as other images or words it would then take away from the effect of the lighting bolt "striking" the ground between peace and the world.
